The Reformed (Liberated) Kruiskerk in Waddinxveen was one of the first churches with its own app on our platform. The app has become a real concept within the community in a year. Other Reformed (Liberated) Churches therefore choose for their own app on the Donkey Mobile platform. The connectedness in the community, the increased collection income and the ease of organizing are important reasons for them to choose Donkey Mobile.

Marieke Hamming on small groups within the church app
Reading time: 8 minutes - Published: Oct 7, 2022 - Text: Christiaan Posthumus
Through #donkeydelen we let church members speak about their experiences with the church app. This time Marieke Hamming, member of the communication task force at the Reformed Church 'De Koningshof' in Apeldoorn. She and her task force were looking for a new way of communicating. The church was divided into small groups that can also be found in the church app. "The church app fits in seamlessly with the idea of the small groups: low-threshold communication and easy access to contact details."
'Should we also have a church app?'
“I have been associated with this church for about ten years and have been a member of the communication task force for some time now,” says Marieke. “This task force appealed to me because of my work in the creative sector. Because it allowed me to use my talent for the church. “Together with an enthusiastic group of people, Marieke therefore looks at how the communication of their church can best be filled in. “When someone from the task force asked out loud: 'should we also have a church app?', this was received positively. We investigated various options and one immediately stood out.
Every first Monday of the month we give a digital demonstration. There is also plenty of opportunity for participants to ask questions.
