Even his insulin pump, so also the church!

My start at Donkey Mobile goes back to August 2019. For my church in Ridderkerk I was looking for alternatives for maintaining the website of our church. A mobile app seemed the most practical to me. I came across Donkey Mobile and thought it looked very neat!
The app was not yet available for download in the app stores, but I did see that they were looking for new developers. At that time, I had been working at Coolblue as a back-end developer for a while and was ready for a new challenge. I sent Henrik an email to ask if he wanted to grab a coffee, and he did! I really liked the idea of 'do it right or don't do it at all'.

I am practically married to my smartphone, it even controls my insulin pump. So why doesn't my church have a place on my phone? The (church) community is incredibly important to me, it pains me to see that communication there is often cumbersome and inefficient or doesn't even get going. That should be possible, especially with that smartphone! I am happy to contribute to that. How wonderful it is to be able to contribute to a small tool to help connect the Body of Christ!
After a good conversation it was clear that the match was there, but it was not yet time to ride the donkey. The contact remained and we sat down again in the spring of 2021.

All signals went green from both sides and on August 2, 2021 it was really time to embark on this new adventure on the back of the donkey!
